What it accepts

  • Public video URLs
  • Uploaded video files

YouTube currently blocks many servers, so YouTube links may be refused. Direct links and uploads always work.

Step by step

How it works

  1. Provide a public video URL or upload a video.

  2. We inspect the file and return the metadata we can read.

Honest limits

What it will not do

Refusing these is a feature. It keeps the service safe, legal and trustworthy.

  • It will not bypass DRM, logins, paywalls, or other access controls.
  • It will not process private, authenticated, or geo-blocked sources.
  • It will not keep your files after the automatic deletion window.
  • It will not alter or strip metadata from the source.
